Confirmation
Program Information
Catechesis for Confirmation is a two-year process for students in grades 9-10. Beginning this year, it is mandatory for all students to attend Confirmation preparation classes.
Registration forms are available for students in Year I and in Year II. Registration materials must be returned to the rectory no later than August 31st. Registrations returned after that date will be accepted on a space-availability basis with a $10 late fee. Registrations will not be accepted after classes have begun. Classes begin Sunday, Sept. 30th following the 5pm Mass.
Community Service Projects
Any of the activities listed on the right-hand sidebar are pre-approved as Christian Service Projects for Confirmation.
We also are open to other projects that assist disadvantaged individuals at non¬profit organizations. An approval form can be found here. Such organization's activities must be consistent with the Catholic faith. A letter from the activity's supervisor must be provided to document completion of hours. A total of twelve hours of Christian community service is required.

Change of Date for Confirmation
The date for Confirmation has been changed. The prior date had conflicted with North Quincy High School's senior prom. Since this may have inconvenienced many of our families, Bishop John Dooher generously has agreed to change the date for Confirmation to Friday, May 17,2013 at 7:30 pm.

Assisting at any Sacred Heart sponsored event:
- Hospitality
- Craft Fair
- Helping at other designated activities at Sacred Heart Parish
- Volunteer in hospitals or nursing homes. Contact director of social services at a hospital or activities director at a nursing home.
- Assisting at Quincy Catholic Academy or our parish's Religious Education Office
- After school program or any event at Quincy Catholic Academy
